Liquid Glucosamine: 7
Facts You Should Know
Many times when we search for
arthritis products to help us with arthritis pain relief
we'll find a ton of different products on the shelves.
When searching on the internet, you're probably overwhelmed
with every arthritis product available. We would
like to share with you something we learned way back
in 1998.
1998 is the year we discovered
a product called Body Balance and OsteoProCare. Both
products are liquid and both products are extremely
popular today. Why?
People don't like to pop pills
and people are starting to get educated on the absorption
factor when you compare liquid glucosamine to pills
or capsules. In my humble opinion if you can get a liquid
nutritional product, you get it as fast as possible.
Does that mean pills are worthless?
No really, just understand that only 15-25% of
any pill or capsule will be absorbed by the body. That
simply depends on the binders that are contained within
the pill to keep it looking pretty.
Heck we even recommend one arthritis
product called zymosine because of the results we have
witnessed with different arthritis sufferers. However,
most of our friends who have joint pain, rely on liquid
glucosamine. Let's learn about liquid glucosamine
below.
Liquid Glucosamine Fact #1.
Glucosamine is produced naturally by our body.
The unfortunate fact is all
of age. With age, different aspects of our body
start to produce less amounts. Glucosamine which is
produced by our body also declines it's production.
Liquid glucosamine is an excellent product for arthritis
pain because it can help replenish the glucosamine levels
in our body.
Liquid Glucosamine Fact #2.
Liquid glucosamine is essential to producing the
nutrients we need to produce synovial fluid. Synovial
fluid lubricates our cartilage and maintains healthy
joints. If you ever feel your joints stiff, creeking,
rubbing, etc. it could be from a loss of snovial production.
Liquid Glucosamine Fact #3.
Especially in people who are extremely active,
when your body cannot replace the glucosamine
the following will occur:
- hardening of cartilage
- bone spurs
- joint deformities
- limited range of motion
(flexibility)
- the
above could lead to osteoarthritis
Liquid Glucosamine Fact #4.
There are many different grades of glucosamine ranging
from low to high grade. The majority of glucosamine
is found in powder or pill form which means your digestive
system needs to break it down before it can be absorbed.
Liquid glucosamine does not need to be broken down therefore
it is readily absorbed. Basically the absorption
process will begin in your mouth, before it even hits
your tummy.
Liquid Glucosamine Fact #5.
Glucosamine when combined with other arthritis ingredients
produces a synergistic effect. Just like calcium, when
you add magnesium calcium can be absorbed much easier.
Magnesium acts as a carrier to transport calcuim across
the cell membrane.
Liquid Glucosamine Fact #6.
How much liquid glucosamine should a person consume
on a daily basis? Most of the reports I have read,
at least 1250 mg to 1500 mg per day is a sufficient
dosage.
Liquid Glucosamine Fact #7.
Bottom line, if you suffer from arthritis or joint pain
it would be best to find a product that contains liquid
glucosamine and the following ingredients:
- omega 3
- omega 6
- vitamin A,C,E
- Boswellin
- Bromelain
- Shark Cartilage
- Chondroitin Sulfate
- Manganese Ascorbate
- Yucca
Why are these ingredients
so important?
Shark Cartilage: studies
have shown that shark cartilage (chondroitin Sulfate )
helps improve glucosamine absorption.
Chondroitin Sulfate:
helps attract nutrients into your cartilage by helping
increase the "flow" of liquid across cell
membraines. Think of it as a sponge. When a sponge
is dry it hard and brittle, but when you add water it
expands and becomes extremely flexible. Make sense?
Manganese Ascorbate: is
a mineral that turbo charges the effectiveness of chondroitin
and glucosamine. It also improves the immune system.
Yucca: has anti-inflammatory
properties and acts as a blocker to toxins released
by the digestive system that could harm function of
cartilage. Most important, yucca has long
history of easing stiff joints which result in
joint pain.
Bromelain: acts like
aspirin but is not aspirin. It will help in reducing
pain and swelling.
Omega 3 & 6: they
act as anti-inflammatory agents and both can help reduce
joint inflammation. Omega 3's are best found in
fish and omega 6's are commonly found in vegetable oil.
The western diet is very high in omega 6's so
one should watch carefully what they eat. Fried foods
are probably something you should stay away from.
Boswellin:
will improve the blood flow to your joints,
help maintain healthy blood vessels and can help reduce
swelling in joints that are stiff
Vitamin A is important
for growth and repair of soft tissue, aids in bone formation
and helps slow down deterioration.
Vitamin C much has been
written on vitamin C and how it improves our immune
system. It is a antioxidant that is required for the
production of collagen and collegan helps build and
repair body tissue.
Vitamin E is also an
antioxidant that protects red blood cells and helps
maintain healthy membrane tissue.
As you can see, all these ingredients
work together to assist in joint health. Working as
a team is the absolute best way to repair and maintain
healthy joints and stave off arthritis and joint pain.
Liquid glucosamine is superior to pills and capsules
because it is easily absorbed.
One side effect of liquid
glucosamine is the taste. Some people enjoy the
taste, others must mix it with juice and others suck
it up and drink it fast. Over the years we have acquired
a taste for liquid nutritional products and have found
them to be much easier to swallow than pills/capsules.
